A spectre floats above New York - the spectre of Karl Marx. All the powers of capital have joined to exorcise it: the landlords, the speculators, the developers, the banks, the bureaucrats. They raise towers, they clear streets, they make people indebted — yet still the head of Marx returns, inflated, multiplied, drifting across the sky

What do we proclaim?

  1. First, space is never neutral. It is owned, enclosed, exploited. Ground is seized, value is extracted, people are excluded.

  2. Second, architecture divides and unites. It cut along the grain of capital, or against it. It reproduces class division or build forms of common life.

  3. Third, architect is never innocent. We are workers of ideology. We shape daily consciousness through monuments, symbols, objects, spaces.

Therefore, we gather.
To gather is to resist.
To gather is to claim the city.
To gather is to make solidarity flesh.
To gather is to perform temporary rituals.

Our architectures are objects that spark.
Our monuments are monumen ts in movement.
Our forms are forms as force.
